FUDCon 2008 - Day 2 Sat, Jan 12. 2008
FUDCon day 2 has wrapped up. It was great to meet a number of people who to this point have been a hackergotchi or IRC nick.
After Max Spevack's initial "State of Fedora" address, I enjoyed four other sessions:
- Michael Tiemann on Fedora as a entry-point for companies that use open source and are ready to move into contributing
- Mike McGrath on the awesome Fedora Infrastructure team
- Greg DeKoenigsberg and the Percolate TV gang on FedoraTV
- Paul Frields (incoming Fearless Leader of the Fedora project) and Jared Smith on DocBook
I also enjoyed leading a session on Getting Students Involved in Open Source with Will Cohen, particularly the Q&A and discussion time.
There will be lots of really interesting things coming out of the Fedora project shortly... but I won't spoil any announcements by mentioning them here
