Free Software and Open Source Symposium Update Thu, Oct 4. 2007

Just a reminder -- the Seneca Free Software and Open Source Symposium (FSOSS 2007) is coming up quickly. If you're interested in coming, now's the time to register!

This year, FSOSS run from Thursday, October 25 to Friday, October 26 and features talks by some of the open source community's best and brightest. I think this event is an absolute steal at $40 (advance price; $60 at the door) or $20 in advance if you are a student. This includes both lunches, a reception, and two full days of presentations.

As an incentive to register sooner rather than latter, all entries received by the end of the day on October 8 (Thanksgving Monday in Canada) will be entered in a draw for an iPod Nano. See the FSOSS site for details: http://fsoss.senecac.on.ca)

I sure am! Anton is as well. It just so happens that next week our shifts change and we both somehow got scheduled to have Thursdays and Fridays off. Couldn't have worked out better.

We're both really impressed with the fact that both days have presentations and workshops. The show basically doubled in size since last year!
